Jude’s Write-Up after Camp.
Here’s what the trainers thought!
Jude is a very loving attentive dog but he is easily distracted by other things and loses his focus. Our trainer utilized treat training but at a minimum to train him by that we mean one piece of a treat was used for an entire hour long session and was given at the very end. J…[Read more]

Ranger’s Write-Up after Camp.
Here’s what the trainers thought!
Ranger is a joy to train but sometimes can get distracted easily during a stay. Ranger knows how to stay but prefers to stay next to whoever is training him so he has a tendency to sneak closer to you during his stays, in order to curve this of Ranger while at camp our trainer…[Read more]

Cooper’s Write-Up after Camp.
Here’s what the trainers thought!
Cooper is an incredibly smart dog but he enjoys to push his boundaries and test the waters of what is and isn’t okay. Cooper is well behaved and sometimes needs one or two redirections to keep his focus such as ‘off’ when he tries to jump up or ‘leave it’ when he is distracte…[Read more]

Kelly had a good first day. She enjoyed hanging out with me and by the afternoon was enjoying play time with the other dogs.

Courtney – great job. Please read the Understanding Drive Behaviors and it’ll help you understand your results. Because she is flighty with high prey we want to definitely build on that pack drive by using treats and “look” or “watch me” commands. Her flight being so high is why we encourage the environmental socializing as much as possible.

Jamie – did Warren take the personality profile too? Did you score with all numbers between 0-10?

No, I don’t want you to place in crate “cold turkey”. Transition slowly. Remember she has no choice at my place and I’m just asking you to prepare her so its not such a shock.

Jamie and Warren
This is just a guide, but hopefully it’ll give you some insight on how to develop a routine and stick to it.
Routine for your new puppy
It is important to establish a routine that not only works for you but shows your puppy how to coexist with you in their new life.
Here’s an example of a routine you can use to develop g…[Read more] -

Good job on staying focused and diligent! I know it’s tough with those big brown eyes!!To help her learn to sit facing forward by your side, try walking her close the the closed garage door so that she doesn’t have space between your leg and the door, kinda forcing her to go nowhere but sitting next to you.
I’ll definitely help…[Read more]

No worries, hopefully you’ve received your leashes! Denali definitely has one of the highest pack drives in our program right now. I agree with that but I think her prey drive is slightly higher, meaning she does like toys and treats, right? -

Kerre – altering a behavior takes time and effort and this tantrum is proof that with patience you will win the game he’s playing – that’s why he’s pouting.

I use a cradling technique.
Day 1 – cradle with pup on her back between your legs while you hold her snuggly and rub her belly, and once she calms down begin to rub her legs and feet, think of it like massage (do this for at least 5 minutes)
Day 2
repeat (increase time to 8 minutes)
Day 3
Repeat but place clippers next to you on the floor…[Read more] -
