Is that a similar back haul rate charge for the dog box as well? If so it would cost about $155 to ship to Anchorage. If so based on your estimation last night it would be about $650-$700 to build and ship a box to Anchorage.

I have used the stove you mentioned an will require either fuel or wood. Both may be difficult on a trip like this.

Nobody has contacted me with interest in going as a snow machiner. I think we will have to go with what we have.

Now that I think about it, I think that food should be a personal choice on this trip. Having traveled on many trips with groups of people it is very difficult to make sure everyone is happy with meal choices, especially with food allergies, diet restrictions etc. I think it is just better for everyone to be responsible for their own.

Remember we are going to require that each team have two dog crates on the gear sled just in case. This is how it was done in the past. The reasoning behind this was 1. if one of the dogs has to be dropped and shipped home and 2. If that is the case the spare is there in case of an emergency.
