A short update on a personal side. Maybe each of us could add where they are at too.

    1. My deposit will be paid on Thursday 10/31
    2. Michele has already booked her flights to and from Nome.
    3. Michele has secured a room at the Aurora Hotel a day before we are scheduled to arrive and leaving two days later.
    4. Michele booked a room for a night at the Roughwoods Inn in Nenana for the night before we are to leave. We will also be securing lodging at the community center for the group unless everyone has other arrangements. We will be having a group dinner and prep-trip meeting well into the evening. I booked the Roughwoods in so.I can have one final night in a bed before we hit the trail.
    5. Gil and I are going to be trail partners
    6. Gil and I have decided to order a Siglin Sled and an Arctic Oven and split the costs. We will decide what we will do with the items once the trip is done.
    7. Gil has found a machine to use that should work out great.
    8. Michele looked into crates and found them to be very expensive up here. Right now I am contemplating two options. Flying down to Seattle on miles and bringing them back or using Carlisle Package Service and having them shipped. I won’t know which is cheaper until I find out how much 12 crates weight and the dimensions of them stacked and ready to ship.
    9. I did create a PayPal Pool (sort of a crowd funding source) not necessarily to raise money but to offer contributors “special access” if they contribute with things like a special code to view my in reach track on the trial, exclusive photos etc.
    10. I will be in Mexico from 11/5 to 11/12 for a Great White Shark dive and the following week I will be at a large outdoor education conference where I will be presenting about our trip. I will not have Internet access while in Mexico but I will from 11/13-11/17 when I am at the conference in Spokane. This presentation will put our trip in front of a lot of “eyes and ears” and is a requirement for the masters project/

    Where is everyone else at?
