Nenana – Roughwoods Inn (2/21/20)
Water: is available from the Inn and will have to be carried to the designated dog lot.
Meals: Restaurant 8a to 7p **We can close the restaurant for our trip meeting that evening if we want, I NEED TO KNOW IF YOU ALL WANT TO DO THAT so I can reserve it now. How many of you would like to spend the night inside the Roughwoods Inn on Feb 21st? The rate is $125/night. 907-832-5299 Ruth or Carrie are very gracious and know me by name and understand that 13 people are expected to come. I have o only reserved a room for Robert and I as I have not received definitive information from the rest of the group regarding these accommodations. Accommodations at all other locations (except Nome) will be handled from a group perspective. If you want me to make a group reservation for Roughwoods, please advise.
Dog Lot: I have sent an email to Sen. Coghill to request to use the vacant property he owns behind the Roughwood Inn. I will be calling the City of Nenana to request to use the boat launch on 10th Ave. as an alternate dog lot but also as a launching place for the start. They were closed today.

Old Minto (2/22/20)
Tanana Chiefs contact for Old Minto is Greg Alexander. greg.alexander@tananachiefs.org is his email and most likely best way to reach him. 907-452-8251 is the main number and you will need to ask for Old Minto contact Greg Alexander.

Chelsea is who I spoke with on 12/2/19 and she said they don’t have enough accommodations for 13 people and that Greg would know more. AN EMAIL WAS SENT TO GREG ALEXANDER 12/2/19 with a specific request to get back to me on or before 12/15/19.

Lots of back and forth communication – all info and requests have been forwarded to First Chief Joseph Alexander, awaiting his reply.

Beaver Point Lodge (2/23/20)
Called on 12/2/19 and left detailed voice message. Filled out reservation form on their website and sent a follow up email directly to Myles Thomas. As I was typing this email, Myles returned my call and expressed that he just got off the phone with Sue who let him know I would be contacting him, so good timing! He returns next week and will send particulars to me in an email! Count Beaver Point Lodge as secured.

Manley Roadhouse (2/24/20)
Called on 12/2/19 and left a voice message with Lisa Lee Owens. Followed up with an email. Awaiting a reply.

Tenana Community Center (2/25/20)
Called on 12/2/19 and spoke with Fayleen Peters – the former contact that was listed is no longer there, I have updated the matrix. I followed up my phone call with Fayleen to her email. She is also with the Tanana chiefs – so as of right now they’re all getting to know us pretty good. I will update when I receive further information.

Bone Yard Cabin – Yukon River (2/26/20)
Not a public use cabin, not part of DNR – possibly part of the Trapping Cabins listed out of Fairbanks Public Information Center. Have placed a call to BJ Wait and left him a voice message on 12/2/19.

Trapper Cabin (2/27/20)
Same information as listed above for Bone Yard Cabin. Will follow up.

Ruby Community Center (2/28/20)
Spoke with Jennie Hopson on 12/2/19 – very sweet lady! Is super excited to know we are stopping at Ruby. Will be chatting with some community members about drop bag, straw, dog lot assistance. Francis, a community member was part of the ATTLA program and they have the movie. She was elated. $50/night with a $50 cleaning deposit. Robert or Stephanie or both will go find Jennie when you arrive and she will get you all set up. More information to follow.

Galena Community & School (2/29/20
Spoke with Tara Riddle on 12/2/19 she is subbing for the school secretary and was very informative and gave me lots of information including asking if you would be staying more than one night! I sent emails to the superintendent and two school principals – waiting for replies and will follow up.
