Robert, Lou Packer is still planning on going. The hold up on his end is that the guy who told him that he’d be there to cover his clinic changed his mind. So, he has been making calls to other doctors to get coverage (which he has to do). He should be reaching out to you to explain the situation. He is going to take whatever machine we don’t take (so he will have a machine) and will be buying a Siglund sled.

Lou is mechanically oriented and has the snowmachining experience as well as mushing experience, so he knows what he is doing.

On another note, I will provide a more detailed straw update from this end. I understand we can get the straw from the Nome end delivered as far as Unalakleet.

We have two snowmachines but feel neither is right for this trip due to the size and my husband’s size. So, we are debating between several machines and are waiting for Phil’s input before we buy one.
