Well, turns out the Underdog Straw bales are too big to ship. I got a verbal quote from AK Mill and Feed but will call again to get something in writing. So far, buying from Cold Spot appears to be cheapest. However, I need somebody to break down for me the places where the straw needs to be shipped. If I understand correctly, the Animal House is going to handle shipping out straw to the drop locations from Unalakleet to Nome. If that is the case (somebody please confirm), then I just need the locations we are shipping to from Nenana to the drop prior to Unalakleet so I can get a quote from the air carriers. Please let me know the food/straw drops AND confirm that somebody is handling the straw from Nome to Unalakleet so I don’t duplicate another’s effort.
