Everts’ backhaul rate from NOme is $.38 per pound. I’ve got the lady’s contact information if anybody is interested. If AK Air is $.45 cents, then the only question is whether NAC is cheaper than Everts.

— I would like fish from Nome for the villages we can get it to (just let me know which ones so I plan accordingly)
— I am interested in a host in Nome for me and my husband. He’s pretty quiet so shouldn’t be a problem!
— I am interested in the crates from Animal House (really, whatever I can do to cut costs since part of my time will be leave without pay)

Juliah, look at Chugiak Dog Mushers and Aurora Dog Mushers and see if you can borrow or lease a sled. It will be tough around Iditarod time. Check to see if Lev Shvarts knows of any sleds around. I’ve also bought sleds off of sled dog central and the Chugiak Dog Musher site. I had a hard time last year finding a sled for the Percy after the runner needed to be replaced on one of mine (we were running three teams) so finally wound up buying one off of sled dog central. I’d look at some Iditarod mushers who are not running the race this year and see if you can borrow or rent something.
