I will check with Underdog Feeds about shipping straw and what price they could give us. In 2017, they were able to ship extra straw out to the checkpoints at $30 (I believe it included shipping) so $240 per musher if we haul one bale from the start and send out 8 bales. I will also check with Martin to see about the Serum Run boxes which may still be at his place. Dog crates are not cheap and the airlines require one per dog so the boxes substantially cut down on that cost.

Finally, did anybody get a price on shipping dogs, snowmachines, and other things from Nome from Northern Air Cargo? I’ve shipped back dogs/sleds/stuff from Iditarod in 2015 and 2017 and they had the cheapest price.
