I spoke to Martin Buser’s wife this week. The Serum Run dog boxes are at his house but some are in “rough shape.” We’d need to get them and get them fixed up now before they get buried in snow. I will check with Underdog Feeds about shipping straw and what price they could give us. In 2017, they were able to ship extra straw out to the checkpoints at $30 (I believe it included shipping) so $240 per musher if we haul one bale from the start and send out 8 bales. Our training of the team is proceeding (the kennel has 30 dogs). The team is currently signed up with me for the Knik 100 and the ACE race; my handlers are doing the Copper Basin 300 and the Quest 300 so I am anticipating a well-trained team!
