Hi Phil, It is an older wooden sled with double runners. I have arranged to borrow a sled from an Iditarod musher, Lev Shvarts. He said I could start using it anytime after January. If it falls through, I hope to borrow Stephanie’s training sled if no local sleds become available.
I’m counting on using the wooden box to ship at this point, unless someone tells me we are not going that route. I hope Stephanie and Kirsten use them to ship down their dogs, we can pay the return shipping (the 4 of us involved) and Marla and I can use them to ship dogs home. After that, I would like to have one if there is that possibility still from our previous conversation. I would find a way to secure to my trailer for use transporting on the road system and be able to detach for flying in the future.
I believe there are four mushers in the Mat-Su area who would like fish. I havent heard the final amount Marla would like to purchase. I can split my 1,000 pounds with Kathleen or another friend if Kathleen and Marla want to split 1,000 pounds. anyway, it looks like 2 boxes of fish. Kathleen is checking on best way to ship. Currently it looks like she has .38 a pound (NAC?) What would it take to get it on a plane? Thank you for all you are doing!
