• It would be a simple matter for whoever has the list of phone numbers or email for village contacts to call each village contact and ask them how much a gallon gas is and if their vendor accepts credit cards.

  • The trail class Iron Dog teams depart Fairbanks on the 13th and the Pro Class on the 16th. But the Iron Dog trail won’t be of much use to use to us between Nenana and Tanana because they travel the Tanana River rather than the over land trail. Seventy five river miles vs. 55 overland between Manley and Tanana which is not a big deal to a snow…[Read more]

Also I believe the school is closed due to insufficient enrollment. If you can get ahold of Pam Redington she would be a good resource. Or try Manley Hot…[Read more]

  • My arctic oven tent is listed as a four person tent but two for winter camping. Tent weights 32 lbs and stove 14 lbs and takes up about 2 ft by 3 ft by 2 ft of space in sled. As a comparison Nome Kennel Club recently purchased a large arctic oven tent for club activities. I haven’t weighed it, but it is easily over 100 lbs and takes up twice the…[Read more]
