Remember we are going to require that each team have two dog crates on the gear sled just in case. This is how it was done in the past. The reasoning behind this was 1. if one of the dogs has to be dropped and shipped home and 2. If that is the case the spare is there in case of an emergency.

In terms of weight. I think if we said that each dog weighs 50 pounds that will give us a good idea on total weight. Almost all of the dogs that I am taking are in that 40 to 60 pound range.
