I’ve got an arctic oven tent and a Satellite phone with about 10 minutes a month in the event of an emergency, so I can bring that. Basically, each of us had an action pack for our gear; we stopped in local laundramates to do the wash and brought plenty of change (so knowing where they are is big). Ditto with showers. I would HIGHLY recommend a water purifier/filter. Quite a few people got sick from drinking unfiltered water in Minto on the 2009 Serum Run. I also used a jet boil to quickly heat up water for my food; they are easy to use. A bigger issue is Heet; in the Serum Run, they bought a large amount of it and we each had it on our machiner’s sled. Another thing was a cover for the dog crates; I still have mine and got them from Cabelas. While I like the idea of Sue’s propane heater, if it is super cold, it could be a problem.
