    Jamie and Warren

This is just a guide, but hopefully it’ll give you some insight on how to develop a routine and stick to it.
    Routine for your new puppy
It is important to establish a routine that not only works for you but shows your puppy how to coexist with you in their new life.
Here’s an example of a routine you can use to develop good sleeping habits, potty training, and teaching your pup how to handle being alone.
6:00am wake up in crate, go outside to potty about 15 to 20 minutes
6:30am feed (allow for 15 minutes to eat, whatever is left pick up and give at dinner time) 7:00am back outside to potty about 15 to 20 minutes.
7:20am return to crate for about a half hour – in case of accidents
8:00am take outside, allow for opportunity to go potty then start working on training routine/short walk in driveway or in front of house
**remember any treats you give means the pup will need to potty again so use them sparingly. Also every time they drink water until they learn to hold it longer they will need to go potty within a half hour of drinking.
From 10:30 to 12:30 place puppy back in crate and give a puzzle toy or bone and allow for some alone time.
12:30 take out of crate and go outside to potty
1:00p of able begin a training session that should last a good half hour.
Allow for some playtime in the house and outside working on boundaries, bite inhibition, give & take with toys/objects and even some quiet time using the Leadership Stays.
3:00 to 5:00p place puppy back in crate for some alone time and a nap.
5:00p let out to go potty, give water, maybe play a game of fetch and work in some obedience commands, take on a walk.
    6:00pm feed dinner.
    6:30p let out to potty
NO FOOD after 7pm NO WATER after 8pm
7p to 10p playtime in house resting with family etc.
9:45p let pup out for last time to potty then crate for bedtime.
