Bering Air has generously donated freight for both straw and drop bags if we can get the straw and drop bags to them by February 4th. This is a huge savings for all of us! Can we have a volunteer to work with NAC / Everts / Lynden on getting prices to send the drop bags from Anchorage to Nome? Marla, I think you would need to use Everts from Fairbanks. I personally recommend NAC. They have a daily delivery to Nome unlike the others and they are used to handling the Iditarod supplies.

    • It should be noted that if the drop bags are not to Bering Air by the noted date, these are their rates for shipping to the Villages:
Per Russell at Bering Air – “If that is much lead time is not going to work than this would be the freight rates for those locations”:
      Unalakleet – $1.65 per pound
White Mountain – $1.15 per pound
      Koyuk – $1.55 per pound
