As to Manley Hot Springs I think we would be better advised to find an alternative to the Road House. I don’t think they get enough business to stay open in the winter and have winterized it. Also I believe the school is closed due to insufficient enrollment. If you can get ahold of Pam Redington she would be a good resource. Or try Manley Hot Springs Traditional Council or Bean Ridge Corporation Tribal Office. They do have a community center and a laundromat but we need some one who actually lives in Manley.

In Tanana Fayleen Peters will probably direct you to Pat Moore or Stan Zuray, the usual contacts for mushing. Every one seems to have forgotten that the road was extended to Tanana a couple of years ago. They actually drove dog trucks to Tanana for their April races. I know Pat usually puts a team in the Fur Rondy; he would know if it’s feasible to drive the road in February.
